Great to see a few more pics published in this months Climb magazine. quite amusing in some ways for me as both feature routes I have bolted and done the FA. The first is of Ben West tackling Achilles Wrath F8b at Shipwreck Cove. This line is probably my proudest addition to South Wales climbing as it is with out doubt a brilliant line with some incredible climbing to surmount this improbable feature.

I had managed to get the pic from a high position on the crag whilst ben was working the line, something that did not take him long (only 6 tries) so I was fortunate to capture this moment. I’m still not sure of the best angle to shoot this line but at present this is my favourite view, maybe ill get the Flash in position and play with some lighting options next time.

Gwen Morgan on her first outdoor lead climb

The second is a shot of Gwen Morgan climbing at foxhole cove, also on Gower. Its not my best shot ever but it was great to capture this moment as it was Gwen’s first lead outside. It was taken at pretty much midday with the sun blazing overhead so I’m not beating myself up for the poor lighting. Any way I’m sure this is only the first of many times you will see Gwen featured in the climbing media!
